VISIT OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT
On June 20 and 21, 2024, the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business was visited by representatives of the American Academy of Management – the most prominent association of professors and researchers in the field of management and organization, engaged in the publication of reputable scientific journals, organization of conferences and creation of communication platforms for research and ideas in the field of management. Founded in 1936, the American Academy of Management today has over 20,000 members and maintains affiliation with many prestigious universities, including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and others. At the meeting of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Belgrade, prof. Žaklina Stojanović, Vice dean for development prof. Branislav Boričić and Vice Dean for International Cooperation prof. Saša Ranđelović with the President of the Academy Sharon Alvarez and her team, which included Financial director Marko Vukasović, Kelly Mitchell and Prof. Milorad Novićević, we discussed the achievements of our Faculty in the field of internationalization, as well as the possibility of establishing institutional cooperation between the American Academy of Management and the Faculty, as an eminent institution covering the field of management within the University of Belgrade.
The meeting was held within the visit of the American Academy of Management delegation on the occasion of a large international scientific conference in the field of management and organization, which our Faculty organized in cooperation with the School of Economics and Business in Ljubljana and the Slovenian Academy of Management, with the support of the American Academy of Management. The conference was attended by over 80 professors and researchers from 12 countries.
