‘BSc Economic and Finance’ is an undergraduate programme of the University of London (academic direction by The London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE), which is delivered at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business, leading to two parallel degrees – one degree awarded by the University of London (academic direction by LSE) and one degree awarded by the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business (UB-FEB). The London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE, providing the academic direction for this programme, shall develop syllabuses, prepare the study materials, and be responsible for the assessment of the students within this programme, while the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business would provide respective teaching (in English) and support for the programme.
This programme offers outstanding career opportunities, in international organizations, financial institutions, public sector, non-for-profit organizations or academia. Modern design of the programme and its strong quantitative focus also provides excellent foundations for those who want to pursue postgraduate studies, either in Serbia or at the top foreign universities.

GRADUATE DESTINATIONS
Graduates from this programme will be able to pursue career in a wide range of professions, which require strong analytical skills, including, but not limited to, the positions of financial economist in an academic environment, financial sector – investment and commercial banking, risk management, research, fund management or securities trading, or government and corporate sector.
Graduates of the programmes will have a sound basis for careers in a wide range of areas from major corporations to small businesses, government organisations, the voluntary sector, international organisation and the media.
Successful completion of a degree will allow a student to progress to postgraduate study in the degree field or a related area or to undertake further professional qualifications.

* Students of the UB-FEB who passed the exams in Mathematics and the Foundations of Statistical Analysis in the first year of undergraduate studies are exempt from taking the Mathematics 1 and Statistics 1
APPLICATION AND ADMISSION
The programme “BSc Economics and Finance” can be enrolled by:
1. Candidates who have completed the 1st year of studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business;
2. Candidates with the secondary education degree earned abroad;
3. Candidates who are already students at a higher education institutions abroad.
Admission to the programme “BSc Economics and Finance” is competitive and subject to availability of places on programme. Admission is limited to 30 students.
PRECONDITIONS AND PROCESS

In general, there are four eligibility criteria that need to be met by students (of the Faculty of Economics and Business) to enrol in the UoL programme “BSc Economics and Finances”, starting from the study year 2:
Students need to be enrolled in the undergraduate studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business
At least 48 ECTS earned in the year 1
Students need to have passed the exams in Mathematics and Foundations of Statistical Analysis in the year 1
Students need to have a valid English language certificate, as prescribed by the University of London (list available at LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS)
Applications for the programme may be submitted in September (exact dates published every year) at University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business. The following documents should be submitted:
The application form (obtained when applying – candidate must provide ID number so that Faculty of Economics and Business can electronically access the transcripts) and
The English language certificate (as defined in the relevant list of the University of London).
Statement of programme regulations compliance (form provided at application)
Decisions on admissions are made on the basis of academic merit, contextual data, and the availability of places on programme. Candidates will be ranked based on:
their performance in the year 1 of the studies (sum of ECTS multiplied by the grade): weight 75%
the English language test score: weight 25%.
Top 30 students will be invited to enrol into the “BSc Economics and Finance” programme. Invited students shall submit the online registration with the University of London (assistance to be provided to the students by the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business).
After completing the programme „BSc Economics and Finance“ at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business, student acquires two degrees – a degree issued by the University of London (with academic direction by London School of Economics and Political Science) and a degree issued by the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Economics and Business).

Upon completion of the recognition process with the Ministry, the candidate applies for enrolment to the year 1 of undergraduate studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business (taught in Serbian), within the deadline prescribed for foreign citizens and in accordance with the admission requirements (typically in the 1st week of September). Enrolment to the year 1 of bachelor studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business is on a competitive basis and depends on the availability of places. Upon completion of the year 1 of study at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business and fulfilled requirements for enrolment into the UoL programme from year 2, the student is entitled to apply for the programme „BSc Economics and Finance“.
After completing the programme „BSc Economics and Finance“ at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business, student acquires two degrees – a degree issued by the University of London (with academic direction by LSE) and a degree issued by the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Economics and Business).
Request for recognition of the higher-education degree for continuing education at the Faculty of Economics and Business is submitted to the University of Belgrade with accompanying documents and a description of all subjects passed at the foreign higher education institution. Upon completion of the recognition process, the candidate enrols in the appropriate year of undergraduate studies (depending on the number of recognized credits) at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business and becomes eligible to apply for the „BSc Economics and Finance“ once they fulfil the requirements for the UoL programme addmission.
NOTE: The precondition to initiate the process of recognition of the higher education diploma for continuation of education is a minimum of 60 ECTS obtained at a foreign higher education institution.
After completing the programme „BSc Economics and Finance“ at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business, student acquires two degrees – a degree issued by the University of London (with academic direction by LSE) and a degree issued by the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Economics and Business).
In order to be eligible for the degree of the University of London (academic direction by LSE), students need to pass all the programme exams defined by the University of London and 7 exams of the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business (year 1). Students who have finished the year 1 at a foreign higher education institution may apply for recognition of exams at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business, so some of the exams passed abroad may be recognized as the exams at the Faculty of Economics and Business (e.g. a student gets 3 exemptions based on the exams passed abroad, needs to sit 4 differential exams defined by the year 1 curriculum at the Faculty of Economics and Business.
