“ECONOMIC POLICY FOR SMART, INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE GROWTH”

On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, the Faculty of Economics – University of Belgrade organizes the On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, the Faculty of Economics – University of Belgrade organizes the international conference “Economic policy for smart, inclusive and sustainable growth”. Competitiveness of companies and economies, and their financial performances in the long run fundamentally depend on their efficiency to foster production and dissemination of innovations. On the other hand, the experience from the recent global economic crisis suggests that economic analysis, both from theoretical and political point of view, should not limit its focus to acceleration of growth, but rather considerable attention should also be paid to its sustainability, the interpretation of the sustainability term varying from macroeconomic to environmental aspects. The lessons learned from development patterns in the last few decades suggest that in order to be sustainable, economic growth must be inclusive, providing the satisfactory participation of entire population in the benefits of growth, which is why the inequality and related topics are among the focal themes of the conference.
Taking into account the aforesaid, the conference will cover variety of topics in economics, finance, business, management and quantitative methods, which corresponds to the core research fields at the Faculty of Economics – University of Belgrade. The topics will be divided into several sessions, including (but not limited to):
