The Journal Economic Ideas and Practice is published by Faculty of Economics University of Belgrade. It intends to cover issues of economic science, economic policy, business economics, quantitative economics, with special emphasis on institutional, social and political challenges of economic science and practice.
Review process
Manuscripts will be submitted to a double-blind peer review process. Both the author(s) and reviewers remain anonymous during this process. The choice of reviewers is at the editors’ discretion. The reviewers are specialists in the field. Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the Editor without delay. Reviews must be conducted objectively. Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Authors who are asked to review their papers shall make necessary modifications in accordance with the reviewers’ recommendations and re-submit them afterwards.
Ethics in publishing
The Journal Economic Ideas and Practice adheres to the basic ethical requirements for scientific publications established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The most important Editorial Responsibilities
The editor is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal Economic Ideas and Practice will be published. The editor is guided by the policies of the journal’s Editorial Board and constrained by legal requirements in force. Editors have a responsibility to protect the anonymity of reviewers and authors as per the highest academic standards. Editors shall evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content free from any racial, gender, religious, ethnic, or political bias.
The most important Authors’ responsibilities
Authors warrant that the rights of third parties will not be violated, and that the publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation. Authors are exclusively responsible for the contents of their submissions, the validity of the experimental results and must make sure that they have permission from all involved parties to make the data public. Authors must make sure that all only contributors who have significantly contributed to the submission are listed as authors and, conversely, that all contributors who have significantly contributed to the submission are listed as authors. It is the responsibility of each author to ensure that papers submitted to Economic Ideas and Practice are written with ethical standards in mind and that they not contain plagiarism. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal Editor or publisher and cooperate with the Editor to retract or correct the paper.
Conflict of interest and source of funding
The journal requires that all sources of financial support for the submitted research must be fully acknowledged, and any potential conflicts of interest noted. Notes about source of fundings and acknowledgements, if any, include in the manuscript.
Copyright
Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, authors shall transfer the copyright to the Publisher. If the submitted manuscript is not accepted for publication by the journal, all rights shall be retained by the author(s). Papers submitted for the Journal must not be previously published, nor sent for consideration or be accepted for publishing by other journal at the same time. The authors shall sign the Consent to Publish and thus assign the copyright to the Faculty of Economics to publish and distribute the papers, after the acceptance of the paper.

Economic Ideas and Practice is an Open Access Journal. All articles can be downloaded free of charge and used in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Serbia (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 RS): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/rs/deed.en
